google search appliance - Reduce snippet length in GSA results -


i want change snippet(<s> in results xml) length , possible using front-end or other way. returning long snippet, want reduce per new requirement. should not affect other collections , frontend in gsa, because gsa box serving lots of websites.

have tried changing res_snippet_size variable in xslt specific front-end?
