Infinidb on Ubuntu 14.04: ERROR: Failed trying to update InfiniDB System Configuration file -

just started fresh ubuntu 14.04 lts image, , installed .debs 4.6.0.1. after that, ran following .... fails:

root@infinidb1:~# /usr/local/calpont/bin/postconfigure ===== setup system server type configuration ===== there 2 options when configuring system server type: single , multi 'single' - single-server install used when there 1 server configured on system. it's shorter install procedure used poc testing, example. can used production systems, if plan stay single-server. 'multi' - multi-server install used when want configure multiple servers or in future. multi-server install, can still configure 1 server , add on addition servers/modules in future. used more production installs. select type of system server install [1=single, 2=multi] (2) > 2 error: failed trying update infinidb system configuration file

i didn't further debug info nor there information in syslog , /tmp/ logfiles.

i tried 12.04.4 ubuntu image well, same error.

any ideas?

i solved setting correct locale info in /etc/environment:

lc_all=en_us.utf-8 lang=en_us.utf-8 language=en_us.utf-8

logout, login. after sudo apt-get install build-essential libxml-parser-perl expect , sudo dpkg-reconfigure locales

then reinstall infinidb.
